Getting Rid of Unwanted Body Fat

Your gender determines the way you deposit fat, for example women tend to deposit fat under their arms and thighs while men tend to deposit fat mainly in the tummy area.  For women, it can be embarrassing to have fat in the arms and thighs. Therefore most women, who have fat in those areas, tend to avoid wearing certain types of clothes because they feel it will be unsightly.

It is not just about getting rid of fat in the thigh and arm areas, but it involves getting rid of fat that is deposited all over the body so that you become slimmer.

Firstly, you must undertake a drastic reduction of all the sugars you consume in form of meals and drinks.  The first things to go are all soft drinks or sugar rich drinks and substitute them with plain clean drinking water.

The reason why soft drinks should be eliminated is that a can of a typical soft drink contains between 100 and 150 calories.  If you were to drink four cans a day, you would be taking in, a whole load of calories, which could be thousands of extra calories in a year.  If you consume hot beverages like tea and coffee, you must also watch how much sugar you add.

It is also advisable to stop snacking regularly while watching TV programs, because almost all snacks contain a lot of trans fats, sodium and high glycemic carbohydrates which are bad because they contribute to extra fat in your body.

You will also need to change your eating patterns.  Instead of eating three major meals a day, you should eat small meals at three hours interval.   A person who has a body with a high metabolism burns fat while still at rest.  If you want a faster result, in terms of burning fat, you should have a regular exercise regime.  Regular exercise is not only good for losing weight; it also assists in toning up the body so that you can achieve a sexier look.

Very minimal physical activity is a recipe to having a lot of body fat in undesirable areas.  It is therefore important to engage in exercise that you enjoy for at least thirty minutes a day, so as to ensure that you burn unwanted calories. To prevent boredom, it is advisable to vary the type of exercises you do daily.  You can play rugby one day, football the next day and so on.  It is important to be creative with your exercise regime.  In addition you should find other physical activities which you enjoy in order to expand your exercise regime. We need not over emphasize the importance of regular exercise.

If you would be strict with these guidelines, you will be able to get rid of any unwanted body fats and achieve a nice and well toned body shape which you will be proud of and one which will boost your self image, an asset which is associated with success.
